Many newer scanners are able to output the image directly with all existing data instead of breaking it down to 24-bit. This enables an image series consisting of thousands of files to be automatically processed in batch mode. SilverFast HDR is a computer program for processing 48-bit raw images. This is achieved by simply selecting the Scan Type pop-up and then choosing 48 Bit HDR Colour, as shown below. First we want to get SilverFast Ai set for raw 48-bit color output (LaserSoft call this 48 Bit HDR Colour mode). For this purpose, a multitude of tool settings can be comfortably copied from image to image. Step 1 - Getting SilverFast Ai ready for high-bit scanning. ![]() Version: 8.2.0r2 () Task: General: All dimension settings were changed from dpi to ppi. Feature Website Revised JobManagerĪfter scanning into the new HDRi RAW format, the JobManager is used for the efficient batch processing of image optimizations. Rather than calculating image optimizations directly into the image data created by the scanner, such information is now stored as meta-data. Thus, the user is allowed to undo or further correct any setting at any time. HDRi RAW provides an ideal starting point for a non-destructive workflow. HDRi RAW Raw Data FormatĪ Key Element is the new file format HDRi RAW, a raw data format including infrared data for dust and scratch removal iSRD. It looks to me that the HDR file format is not correctly interpreted by Photoshop, which means that the HDR file format is not a standard TIFF file.New Feature Highlights with SilverFast 8.5 – With the release of new SilverFast software version 8.5.0r2, SilverFast will obtain new functionality that will make the lossless (“non-destructive”) workflow even more efficient *. Why is there a difference between how Photoshop and Silverfast interpret the HDR files with embedded scanner profile? If I open these HDR images in Silverfast 8 Studio and convert the profile to the same Adobe RGB (1998), the images are noticeably lighter and much nearer to the actual image. ![]()
